Time for Another Mini Album Post

Life is a Journey Mini Album

Time for another mini album post?

I have all these terrific paper collections from Graphic 45 and Bo Bunny that make the most amazing mini albums. These collections are often used for scrapbook layouts but mini albums is another creative way to use these beautiful papers, stickers and ephemera.

This mini album was made with 8''x11'' manilla file folders cut at the 6 3/4" mark and then folded accordian style. I used 4 file folders cut and folded in this manner and then adhered to each other using Scor double sided tape.

If you would like to see a tutorial on how I put these mini albums together leave me a comment and I will post one.

The album was decorated using Bo Bunny's Aryia's Garden Collection papers, cardstock stickers, chipboard stickers; Tim Holtz Idea-ology Small Talk Sentiments stickers and Spellbinders Fancy Borders Die.

Here is the front cover. I used the double sided paper from the collection, Flag cardstock stickers along the top of the cover, a chipboard sticker (Life is a Journey), a second chipboard sticker (I'm collecting moments not things). I also used some Prima flowers and I punched a border using a Martha Stewart punch.

You will see sentiments throughout the mini album. They are from Tim Holtz Idea-ology Small Talk Stickers.

So here is the first page of the album. I used a manilla file folder to make the pages of the mini album and then inked the edges. Then there is a layer of orange cardstock over which I adhered the decorative paper from the Aryia's Garden Collection. The flaps all open to reveal more places to store tags, photo mats or journaling cards. There are pretty brads from my stash that are used throughout the album.

Here is the page with all the flaps opened

There is a belly band holding a photo mat. The belly band is a 1" strip of the decorative paper with some gem stickers at the corners. I use double sided tape to hold the belly band in place.

Here is a close up of the bottom flap. There is a corner band that holds decorative tags. A piece of lace sticker across the corner band adds dimension and a decorative touch.

Here are two sentiment cards that slide into the pouch on the right hand side of page. They can also be used as photo mats. A Spellbinders Border Die was used to punch a pretty border along the tops of the cards. The cards were made from the 12x12 decorative papers included in this collection, cut to 4x3 and corner punched with a Chomper.

This is the last pocket on page 1 that holds tags. I used some more of the lace sticker to pretty up the edge of the pocket holder.

Here is page 2. A decorative belly band is made using the same Spellbinders Border Die. It holds photo mats with sentiments along the bottom of the cards.

The same page with the photo mats removed revealing the decorative page underneath. You can also see the flag cardstock stickers that run along the tops of the pages.

Here is Page 3. A pretty corner tag holder and a flap that opens up to reveal more tags.

The same page with the tags removed. I used the orange polka dot paper to cover the page first and then the orange rose paper to make the corner pockers. Lace and pearl stickers are the finishing touches.

A close up of the tags you will find tucked into this page.

And finally, the back cover.

I hope you enjoyed looking through this mini album with me. Please leave comments or questions.
